Tie me up!

Like many modern women, I enjoy a spot of light BSDM. My husband, wonderful as he is, always strives to do his part of the fun — alcohol has been a great help in this, as I’m sure is the case for many other couples! One of the hardest things to do in bed, I’ve found, is talk about what you want. Especially if you want something kinky. Even after years of marriage, and plenty of erotic romps, I get shy when it comes to verbalizing. (Clearly, I should be spanked for this.)

Which is what makes author Pandora Spocks’ “Dream Dominants” series SO MUCH FUN! When I read the first in the series, Luke & Bella, I fell head over heels for sexy, sensitive, Dominant Luke. (Bella, of course, being his sassy, redhead, secret-submissive perfect match!) It’s such a pleasure to read about safe, loving, respectful D/s relationships, especially with all the bad examples out there. (Smut-literary world, you know what I mean!) Plus, I have to say, the sex is damn hot.

lostandbcoverTherefore it’s with great excitement that I announce the cover reveal and pre-order for Ms. Spocks’ next Dream Dominant: Lost & Bound. (Order now; release on January 31st). Friends, this one’s going to be GREAT. Here’s a little sneak peek at one of the steamy scenes:

**

After painting the exteriors of the first two cabins, Blake and Shasta took a break. In the kitchen of the main house, he quickly made turkey sandwiches for their lunch. “How’s that plug feeling, kitten?” he asked as he sat across the table.

“It’s fine. I mean, I can feel it, but it doesn’t hurt.”

His grin was sly. “Does it feel good?”

She shifted uneasily in her chair. “I just know that my pussy is about to go up in flames if it doesn’t get some relief soon.”

Blake laughed. “We’ll see what we can do about that.” Rounding the table, he grasped her arm and led her to the kitchen counter, where he bent her over. A sharp tug dropped her shorts to the floor around her feet. He released his monster erection and impaled her roughly.

“Oh, shit, yes!” she panted.

After three strokes, he pulled out and restored his jeans, returning to the table to finish his lunch.

Shasta, still leaning over the counter, watched him incredulously. “Are you kidding me?!”

Blake smirked confidently and gave her a wink. “I’m telling you, kitten, by tonight you’ll be begging me to fuck your ass.”

Blake Walker is no stranger to tragedy. Immediately following a horrific event years earlier, he was lost for a while until he embraced his Dominant nature and found his true calling. But things change and now he’s back where he started, helping to run his family’s secluded lake lodge.

When pampered Hollywood starlet Shasta Pyke gets into trouble with the law, she’s sent to the wilderness of northern Ontario to cool her heels for a few weeks.  There she meets sexy bush pilot Blake, who is tasked with seeing to her needs as the sole guest at the lodge.

Initially, Blake isn’t impressed with the spoiled actress, but he’s happy that her visit allows for his sister Jackie and her kids to go on a much-needed vacation. Try as he might, he can’t figure out what the hell Shasta Pyke is doing so far out of her element.

Shasta’s attracted to Blake’s obvious good looks, but there’s more to him than that. He sees through her armor to the vulnerable little girl she hides from the world. The Daddy Dominant in him craves to shelter her, to make her his own.

Is there any way Shasta will agree to submit to Blake’s Dominance? (Note from Fionna: I bet there is! And it’s going to be awesome!)

Lost & Bound is Book 2 of Pandora Spocks’ Dream Dominant Collection, a series of stand-alone novels featuring sexy, Dominant men, and the strong, red-haired submissives who find them irresistible. It is a contemporary erotic romance novel with a light BDSM theme, and features a DD/lg relationship, and is intended for mature audiences.

A Peek Between the Sheets (of my new WIP!)

As I come down from completing my latest project, Major Arcana (free to read on Wattpad!) it’s time to get to work on something new! An idea popped into my head… the vision of a little French chocolate shop, all those mouthwatering truffles on display, and an equally delicious chocolatier behind the counter. What’s better than sex and chocolate? (The answer, of course, is nothing.) And so, I thought I’d share a few paragraphs of my work in progress.

What do you think? Does it whet your palate?

***

Without a word, he walked to the door, took hold of the welcome sign, and turned it to the side that read “Fermé.” The key made a grinding noise as he turned it in the lock. Then, slowly rotating until they were face to face, he reached out his hand.

“Venez,” he said.

His hand was warm, the skin slightly rough, firm beneath her grasp as his fingers closed over hers. In an instant they were moving together, she following as he led her behind the counter, past the tempting assortment of chocolates, and through the service door. There, she found herself in a fragrant world of cocoa and milk; sugar, flour, nuts and syrups; a paradise of the senses.

With a strong motion, he swung her around until she faced him. Her hip connected with the wooden countertop, and she jumped in surprise. His hands came around her waist, steadying her, gently guiding her back until she was comfortably perched on the edge of the counter. Their eyes met again, shocking her with their sudden connection. His were dark, the color of rich coffee; no cream. She wanted to drink deep from that cup.

Reaching behind her, he grabbed something from the countertop and raised it to her lips, like an offering. Holding his eyes with her gaze, she parted her lips in an act of blind trust, and was rewarded by the smooth taste of melting chocolate. A sliver of it coated her tongue with flavor, and she moaned. Until the sound of her delight was cut off by his kiss.

His lips were hard on hers, insistent and wanting. At first his tongue stole away the chocolate, soon replacing it with his own manly flavor. She closed her eyes, letting herself swim in the heady sensations. Her taste buds scraped against his, coaxing the sweetness from his tongue as their mouths fused together in a chocolaty realm of give and take. She felt the rough texture of his beard on her cheek. Unwittingly, she brought her hands up to his chin, stroking her fingers through the short, sharp hairs. The feel of his beard beneath her fingers was piercingly erotic, sending a jolt of arousal straight to her clit.

He pulled away, his eyes molten, questioning. The answer was in her gaze, sharp with lust. No words were needed; only touch.

Because Beards keep you warm… in more than one way!

I’m one of those women who happens to love beards. Don’t get me wrong; there are many handsome, smooth-faced men out there, and I appreciate that many cultures do not admire beards (mostly, cultures where most of the men can’t grow one… just sayin’). In my younger years, I was attracted to boyish good looks. You know, charming young men wit lots of hair on their heads and practically none anywhere else. Thinking back on it, I believe that was because they seemed “safer” to me, less virile or masculine, more familiar to my girlish eyes. Now that I’m older, wiser, and far sexier, however, I have decided that the woman in me is most aroused by a mature man. By which I mean the kind that grows hair. Everywhere.

Yes, hairy chests are my thing, and hairy faces too. Alas, my husband will never have a Viking’s capillary talents, but I do enjoy his scruffy beard after a week or two. (And the fun part is, when he shaves it off I get to enjoy all the stages of its regrowth… almost as much fun as having an affair with a clean-shaven guy, and not nearly as much trouble!)

For all you ladies (and gents) who, like me, love a man with a beard, I am delighted to announce the upcoming release of a beard-themed erotica anthology: Because Beards. What’s even better than that? Why, all profits go to charity! So now you can actually feel good during your feel-good sexy times.

beards1Sexy Excerpt: The Beard Made Me Do It by Scott Hildreth

I grabbed my purse, turned toward the bathroom, and began to walk away. Carefully placing each foot in front of the other, and at least attempting to look sophisticated, I intentionally walked past the bearded wonder positioned between me and the restroom.

As I walked by, I glanced over my shoulder.

I would have sworn our eyes met.

Maybe it was because I wanted them to.

Either way, he was the most handsome man I had ever seen.

His beard?

Perfection defined.

After relieving myself of the afternoon’s alcohol, I stood at the sink and stared blankly into the mirror. Mentally preparing to talk to the magnificent stranger, I was convinced I had what it took – short of a little courage – to impress him.

I turned toward the door, inhaled a breath of bravery, and pulled it open.

Oh shit!

Standing on the other side of the door stood the bearded wonder. Wearing a shitty little smirk, it appeared he knew I was coming. Although I had many things planned to say, and many more I wanted to say, I executed none of my plans.

Instead, I stepped to the side, gazed at him with wide eyes, and muttered a half-hearted apology as I passed. “Sorry,” I squeaked.

His hand gripped my shoulder lightly. “Wait.”

Oh God.

My legs began to shake. I turned around.

“Yeah?”

“You’re single, adventurous, and have no problem keeping a secret,” he said flatly. I couldn’t help but notice that his teeth seemed as white as the winter snow, but it was his beard that commanded my attention.

I stared back at it – and him – in disbelief.

His eyes narrowed slightly. “Am I right?”

My eyes were still fixed on his beard. I nodded. “Uh huh.”

He reached for my hand, turned toward the back door, and paused. “You’re going to come with me.”beards2

Grab it before it’s out: Unique, Thoughtful, and Sexy Paranormal Thriller

amanay bannerLast year I had the great good fortune of reading a paranormal thriller that, despite my usual sex-heavy reading appetite, I absolutely loved. As a general rule, vampires make me yawn, grumble, and/or laugh. (Seriously, once I read a vampire-werewolf romance in which the main vampire character – supposed to be mind-numbingly hot, right? – appeared wearing cerulean blue underwear, that matched his cerulean eyes, which also coordinated with his cerulean sheets… oh my god, I would turn around and leave that bedroom right away! And that was before the sparkly Twilight-vampire craze. Save me!) Anyhow… She Dies At The End, by the excellent A.M. Manay, converted me. This isn’t your typical vampire thriller. It’s totally unlike anything I’ve ever read – in the very best way! Vampires, werewolves, fairies, and humans are all portrayed with sensitivity, care, and individuality. The backstory is rich, drawing me in and making me wish for more.

Pre-order now! You really want to…

Which is why I’m delighted to join Ms. Manay in announcing the arrival of the sequel. And not a minute too soon – we were all suffering from the cliffhanging ending of November’s first adventure! All I know is it’s bound to be good, with the diverse, thoughtful, and, yes, sexy cast of characters already in place.

The good news for new readers is you can go ahead and read She Dies At The End, which you should finish just in time to quickly follow up with the eagerly awaited She Lights Up the Dark. Go ahead and pre-order now. I guarantee you’ll want to know what happens next, right away!

Just to whet your palate, here is a short excerpt from Chapter 1:

She knew only one thing after she clawed her way out of the ground:  she had to eat.  Two sheep and a billy goat gave their lives for November’s first meal of her new one.  She required no persuasion or instruction, falling upon them instinctively when she’d emerged from the earth, filthy and ravenous.  She tore into them, a gleeful savage.

When she was full and they were empty, she knelt next to them, stunned, reaching up a tentative finger to touch the fangs protruding from her bloodstained mouth.  The animals had tasted of grass and sunshine and milk.  For a few moments, she had lived their bucolic lives, now over.  She felt warm, fuzzy with pleasure.  Her head spun.

November wasn’t quite sure where she was, or even who she was, but then it all came back in a rush.

As she walks among her friends, a sniper’s bullet finds her belly.  She falls to the dirt as she takes the death meant for another.  Ilyn carries her inside, eyes burning.  She lies in front of a fireplace, her life bleeding away, but there is no pain on her face.  Her friends surround her.  She agrees to live to fight another day.  He takes her blood and gives her his own.  Now there is fear and struggle and rejection, but it is too late, far too late.  They watch her die  They watch her die because of them.

November returned to the present, the ground solid beneath her knees once again.

I died.  I’m a vampire.

For a moment, she wasn’t certain if she would laugh or weep.  The amazed cackle that escaped between her fingers settled that question.  It was only after the glow of feeding had faded that she noticed the pandemonium that had erupted around her.

They were looking for something.  Zinnia was on the ground.  She looked completely undone.  And Ilyn . . . Ilyn looked terrible.  It took November a long, confused moment to realize that what they were looking for . . . was her.

Blog Hop!

I’ve been invited by the delightful Jolie Mason to participate in her ASPA blog hop! What fun! My contribution is a mini-snippet from my current work in progress, A Job With A View: Tokyo. More to come on that as it approaches completion, but basically Cassidy has signed on to be a personal assistant to the wealthy (and unknown) Mr. Watanabe in Tokyo, Japan. She’s not quite sure what this job entails yet, but it certainly involves more than the usual paper pushing. All she has to decide is how badly she wants it…

Read on for a collection of some of my favorite reviews left by readers. How I love getting reviews! If you’re inspired by any of them, go ahead and click on the titles to read more & see where they come from.

Enjoy the hop!

A Job With A View: Tokyo

Without another word he strolled to the window and stood, hands clasped behind his back, gazing out at the Tokyo panorama. Cassidy was confused. Was he really done with her? He just touched her like that, turning her on so much she felt the eager wetness dripping down her thighs, and then he told her to go? All she could hope was that he was saving something better for the rest of the week. Otherwise she and her hand were about to become very well reacquainted.

She dressed, bowed even though he wasn’t looking, and left. Aki smiled when she left the office. Clearly, Cassidy had done well. Her white-gloved chauffeur took her back to the hotel, where dinner was waiting. Cassidy didn’t go anywhere that evening, just sat, read a romance novel, and nibbled on vending-machine pocky.

Although she went to bed early, she couldn’t fall asleep for hours. As she tossed and turned, making knots in the sheets, Cassidy realized something surprising: she was totally enthralled with Watanabe-sama. Whatever else he asked of her this week, she would do it without question.

… This isn’t run of the mill anything, but it’s especially not run of the mill for erotic romance… (for An Amazon’s Equal)

… I have to say: I find Guillaume’s writing style somewhat reminiscent of those classic author’s I so love—Hawthorne, Dickens, Heyer… Theirs were works dedicated to much telling rather than showing, but they did it so well. … I rarely find writing that fulfills my need for beauty and sex. … I didn’t know that erotica could be this good… If you’re looking for erotica that is humane, literate, and intensely arousing, you could hardly do better than ‘Queen of Beauty’… (for Queen of Beauty)
